Hi There! I am so glad you stopped by! Since we are friends and all you can call me “Herbs”. I am a wife, dog mom, and teacher. I am also an avid gardener, forager, recipe developer, and photographer in my spare time.

I was born and raised in Appalachia. My family’s roots to this area run well over 200 years deep. When I started Must Love Herbs my hope was to convey to you and the others I encounter along the way the true heritage of our area. I have seen many publications about Appalachia throughout my life that try to sum us up in an article or even a 264 page book. You will be grossly misinformed to say the least. So, sit down and stay awhile. I will do my best to show you rural Appalachian life from someone who has truly lived it. Lord willin’ you will see recipes, my garden, foraging adventures, and possibly even glimpses of some very cute (shoe wearing) children along the way.
